Coming Home
Coming Home is a collection of fifty two poems that explore the human journey. In the effort to move beyond a constant state of disconnect we make the courageous choice to face our fears, our pain.In doing so we become witness to the dialogue between the mortal and divine aspect of ourself and are invited to embark on the road to our own transformation.
Profoundly simple and powerfully direct, the poems lead us to the very heart of it all; what is real and what is not.
It is through awakening to this truth of Oneness that we are able to find our way home.

This is a magnificently written collection of poems where the soul meets the Universe with vulnerability and grace. Afshan writes with divine simplicity and depth, and Coming Home is a beautiful invitation to personal reflection, expansion and encouragement. Her writing lights the way with a profound clarity and ease that mystically swoops the reader into a transcendent journey of coming home. It’s a must-read for anyone who seeks a deeper meaning in life.

This book had such passionate and deep verse that is both emotive and evocative. I enjoyed the imagery created: a visual landscape of thoughts and sentiments that effortlessly transported me on so many occasions. As I read through the book I particularly liked the evolution of thought based on raw feelings that communicated with me at so many levels. For me this demonstrated a tremendous ability to capture things that are hard to comprehend let alone communicate. I look forward to reading a lot more of Afshan’s creations.

Coming Home is a call to remember who we truly are. On the surface, the writing style is deceptively simple. But as I pondered each word and then each sentence, I began to realize there were so many complex layers and that each layer took me to a deeper perception of existence. The book raises the fundamental question about how we perceive the world – what if we have it all backwards? What if we are not separate, but One? Coming Home is mystical book that connects us to All That Is – it is the perfect guide not only for these troubling times but for all the years that lie ahead.
